"A therapeutic approach to your well-being"
"A therapeutic approach to your well-being"
I studied and completed the Registered Massage Therapy program at Georgian College in Barrie. I have been a member of the CMTO practicing Massage Therapy in Owen Sound since 2013. I have volunteered at numerous sporting events including the Paralympic games, OCAA volleyball tournaments, Jr hockey and much more. My treatment style benefits anyone suffering from acute or chronic injuries as well as anyone dealing with the daily aches and pains we get from our busy lives.
Along with improving my techniques and assessment for massage I have completed courses in Medical Acupuncture, Ultrasound, Laser, Cupping and therapeutic kinesiology taping. The modalities are used within my treatments when I feel they will be beneficial to recovery. Furthermore I continued my schooling at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and successfully received a Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health Sciences. In the future I hope to use my schooling and practical skills within a classroom setting to teach future RMT's
Learning and understanding pain is equally as valuable as recovering from it. Finding ways to adapt with the pain is far more effective than avoiding the things that cause it. Our bodies are meant to move and avoiding movement will never be the correct answer. Massage Therapy can help keep the body moving. It can help people find and create ways to adapt their movements to continue doing the things they love doing!
